Buying a shipping container, trailer or golf cart online is a bigger decision than ordering a parcel. The item is heavy, it arrives on a truck, and you want to know exactly what you’re getting before you pay. This guide walks through how buying from Grand Stock Supply works, from choosing a listing to signing for delivery, so you can buy shipping containers online and other equipment with confidence.
1. Choose your equipment
Every product page lists the item’s size, condition and intended use, along with photos and the price. That covers our shipping containers, horse trailers, Evolution golf carts, propane tanks and other equipment. Read the specifications carefully, especially dimensions, weight ratings and condition grades. If something isn’t clear, contact us before ordering. It’s much easier to answer a question now than to resolve a mismatch later.
Not sure which size or type you need? Our buying guides cover shipping containers, horse trailers, dump trailers, propane tanks and more.
2. Check out and see your sales tax
Add the item to your cart and go to checkout. As our sales and tax policy explains, we collect applicable state and local sales tax for orders shipped to places where we have a physical or economic nexus. The exact amount is calculated and shown at checkout from your shipping address, so there are no surprises later.
Buying for a tax-exempt organization or for resale? Email your exemption or resale certificate to info@grandstocksupply.com before you complete payment, so we can update your account.
3. Pay securely
Our payment policy covers the accepted payment methods:
- Credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
- Bank wire transfer or ACH: recommended for high-value purchases such as containers, trailers and commercial equipment. Bank details are provided at checkout or when your quote is confirmed.
Online payments are encrypted with SSL. Full payment is required before an order is dispatched, unless financing or credit terms have been formally agreed with us in advance. Orders paid by wire transfer are scheduled for delivery once the funds have cleared.
4. We process and schedule your order
Standard orders are processed within 1–3 business days of payment confirmation. For heavy freight such as shipping containers, trailers and large machinery, our logistics team contacts you directly to arrange dispatch and go over the delivery requirements for your site. Smaller parts and accessories ship by major parcel carriers, with tracking.
5. Prepare your site
Containers and trailers arrive on flatbed or tilt-bed trucks. Under our shipping policy, you’re responsible for making sure the delivery site is accessible, level and clear of obstacles. In practice, that means:
- A firm, level spot for the container, such as compacted gravel, concrete, or blocks under the corners.
- A clear approach for the truck, with no low wires, branches or tight turns. A tilt-bed needs a long straight run, roughly twice the container’s length plus the truck.
- Any permits your city or county requires, arranged before delivery day.
6. Inspect on delivery
When your equipment arrives, you or an authorized representative should inspect it for any transport damage before signing the delivery receipt. Note any issues on the paperwork and report them to our support team within 48 hours. Photos help.
Returns and refunds
Our return and refund policy works as follows:
- Standard merchandise and accessories can be returned within 30 days of delivery if unused, in their original packaging and in saleable condition. A restocking fee of up to 15% may apply.
- Heavy equipment, custom-modified containers and trailers are inspected on delivery and are generally not returnable, unless they arrive with documented manufacturing defects or transit damage.
- Return freight is paid by the customer, unless the return is due to our error.
- Once a returned item is received and inspected, refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
